You can host multiplayer missions using a dedicated server (called a "DServer"). IL-2 Sturmovik comes with a DServer but you can only run the game or the DServer, not both at the same time. If you want to run the game and a DServer at the same time, you can install and update a separate, free DServer from 1CGS. You can install the server on a remote PC or on a local PC, including the same PC that IL-2 Sturmovik runs on.
